The latest hotel in Egypt to be reviewed (shown below) was the Sheraton Resort Luxor

I expect more from a 5 star hotel
We stayed in room 340. The view from the room on the swimming pool and the river was spectacular. Disapointing was the noise and the smell of the boates that docked nearby. The furniture of the room was old, but OK. Bathroom was nothing special. The matrass was not OK: clean but not comfortable. Room service was OK. The food was not OK. We stayed 12 days and had +/- 12 days the same menu. We had 3 times a BBQ where I had great concerns about the cold food (starters and desserts) which stood more than 2 hours in a temperature of + 30°C. Drinks are expensive in the hotel. Happy hour in the Sheraton is a half ? happy hour: when you buy 2 drinks you get a third for free. Drinks from outside the hotel are not allowed in the hotel. Internet = 5 euro / half hour. The swimming pool was fine, thanks to Achmed I rate the hotel as a 4 star hotel, the kitchen a 2 star hotel. Luxor is an excellent place to stay to see Karnak, the valley of the Kings, the LUxor temple and museum.
