Affordable
We stayed in this hotel long term after a major relocation. The hotel is easy access to I-5 and HWY 99, shopping and dining are within walking distance. A library is less than a mile, within 10 minute drive to 3 different waterfront parks, including Pike Place, Woodland Park Zoo and the Aquarium is close as well. Very reasonable drive to the Space Museum and downtown Seattle. So, location is likeable. The view is pretty much non-existant since it is on a side street, so don't be expecting that. Landscaping is pretty good and maintained weekly, except for the dirty dirty canal pond in the front that has trash, clothes, food and fish in it. The hotel itself is 3 story, all indoor entry. Staff is available from 7 am to 11 pm and no later, which can be a nuisance if there is a disturbance. The staff itself is CONSTANTLY changing. Managers Rick and Allen were consistent and always very accomodating. The rooms themself are very basic. Nothing overwhelmingly fantastic or disapointing. The wifi is a $5 one time fee for the password, cable includes showtime and a handful of basic channels. The bathrooms are large, the kitchen is tiny. Full size fridge, 2 burner stove top, no oven. Single basin sink, mini coffee pot, toaster and microwave. Cook ware and dinnerware is provided. NO MAID SERVICE. Maids will only clean your rooms if you pay an additional $5 for every day of your stay. Towels and sheets can be exchanged for new ones, you have to take them up to the front and pick up new ones. . . if they are clean and available. More often than not, we were given too large or too small sheets because queen size weren't clean. The towel sets varied quite a bit. Laundry machines available with vending machines as well. Pets allowed with deposit. If you are on the bottom floor be prepared to hear the guests above you! If you are on the top floors, hope you don't get a grouch below you. Simple walking can be heard, and then you get a phone call asking to keep it down. We experienced both floors. No pool, no gym, no complimentary breakfasts. But, it IS affordable, especially in the off season and for month to month rates. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. Good place to stay to get out and get to know Seattle. (which, by the way, is a stunning city to live in! We love it here!)
