On a forested hillside above the river Cher, this eclectic hotel is in a 15th-century turreted castle. It's a 3-minute walk from the village center, and 5.6 km from the 16th-century Château de Chenonceau, which bridges the river.
Rooms and suites in the castle and stables are individually decorated, and 1 has a Jacuzzi. There are a pair of unique suites; 1 featuring a cave-like structure dug out of limestone, the other in the turret, with a glass-floored bathroom perched above the bedroom.
Breakfast is served for a fee, and a refined restaurant offers contemporary cuisine. There's an ornate chapel, a pool and a sundeck.
