The Country Hotel Velani is a short drive from the traditional Cretan village of Avdou, close to the Lassithi Plateau. A perfect place to enjoy Crete horse riding holidays, this hotel is perched on the slopes of the beautiful Lagada Valley, looking over to the reddish peaks of the Dikti Mountains, where you can watch Griffon Vultures and other majestic birds of prey soar high above. This countryside get-away is located in a vast estate, a real oasis of serenity where you can go hiking, bird watching, mountain climbing, caving, para-gliding and penetrate deep into the Lagada Valley on horse-riding treks.
