Set in what was once the Bishop's Palace of St. Gilbert, this genteel family-run hotel with a modern annexe is opposite Dornoch Cathedral, 6 minutes' walk from the Royal Dornoch Golf Club and an 11-minute walk from Dornoch Beach.
Airy rooms with traditional furnishings offer garden views, TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Refined upgraded rooms add antique furnishings, and some also have sea views, fireplaces and/or 4-poster beds.
