Typical village from the Var-region between sea and mountains. full of history. From Bagnols. it takes only 12.4 miles to reach Fréjus and Saint Raphaël and to access the beaches directly. Towards the West the Maures mountain-range stretches out and towards the East the mountains of Estérel.The Massif des Maures. extending as far as Hyères. harbours pine trees. cork-oaks and chestnut-trees. It is hardly frequented and offers beautiful walks. The coastline spreading at its feet from St Aygulf to St Tropez is punctuated by renowned sea-resorts (Port Grimaud. Ste Maxime) but also with calanques (narrow coves). small bays and peaceful beaches nearby Issambres. Between St Raphaël and La Napoule. l Estérel offers a natural design of great beauty.
