In 1999, just before the second intifada flame (2000), Royal Court Hotel was entrepreneurially established by Mr. Marwan Ayoub to fill a gap in the hospitality sector in Ramallah. When the second intifada took place, the hospitality sector, along with all other sectors suffered drastically, however, Mr. Ayoub decided to maintain his project. The central location of the Royal Court Hotel allowed it to serve as an ideal location for media coverage. As a result, broadcasters such as CNN, BBC, Reuters, and many more were assisted to deliver an accurate image of what was happening on the ground, just in front of what is now Vintage Café.
