Rumleigh Farm, 4 miles from Tavistock, provides relaxed Self-catering and Bed and Breakfast accommodation to the highest standards. It offers a peaceful retreat from hectic modern life in luxurious comfort and style. The two tastefully converted 17th Century Barns,- Yellowhammer which offers B&B and Adults only Dragonfly, which is self-catering - blend well with the medieval farmhouse. Rumleigh sits in a secluded valley, full of wildlife, streams, and ancient hedgerows bursting with wild herbs. All around are delightful views of green rolling landscapes with mysterious craggy chimneys from centuries old mining, now all part of the World Heritage Site. This is indeed a very special place recognised as an 'Area of outstanding Natural Beauty.' The location puts you close to Dartmoor, beautiful beaches, quaint fishing villages, well-known attractions, country houses, famous gardens and yet it's only 20 minutes train ride from Historic Plymouth. It's great to cycle, walk, ride, go boating, fishing or just breathe deeply! Shops and good pubs are close by. Although, technically no longer a working Farm you will find local south devon cows on the fields, (all well fenced to allow easy walks) and chickens to supply you with the best fresh eggs..ever!. Kids love the freedom, with plenty of space to run about safely and explore. The adults meanwhile say how relaxed they feel like stepping back in time is heard a lot. Foodies will love the local fine foods. One bedroomed Dragonfly is the perfect place to self-cater and is equipped to the highest standard for a real home from home feeling. If you must keep in touch, there is WiFi broadband. Yellowhammer offers 3 double rooms as Bed and Breakfast. Each room has its own bathroom, flat screen TVs, drinks facilities, and is styled for comfort. The relaxed breakfast, served inside or, out in the courtyard on warm sunny days, and with the utmost effort to give you the wonderful local produce that is all around us.
