Sugar Ski and Country Club is a year round resort that offers four seasons of enjoyment. Summers offer wonderfully cool, mountaintop accommodations for family vacations. Autumn is simply awe-inspiring. We feature efficiency units with & without lofts, and we have one and two bedroom floor plans and all are complete with fireplace, dishwasher, private cable TV and telephones in all units. There is a USD 90.00 property fee. Rate effective until November 14, 2010 after rate will change to USD 100.74. The check-in time is 4pm and check out is at 10am. You must be 21 years of age or older at time of check-in. There is a late arrival box for after hours check-in. Please call 828-898-9784 for after hours instructions. Avery County is home to famous mountain peaks like Grandfather, Beech and Sugar. It has the highest county seat in Eastern America, Newland elv. 3,621 ft., the highest incorporated town in Eastern America, Beech Mountain, elv. 5,506 ft., and is known as the Christmas tree capital of the world.
