Situated next to Arakawa River inside Bandai Asahi National Park, Takanosukan is traditional Japanese-style accommodation boasting private open-air hot spring baths. It is surrounded by scenic mountains, and guests walk through a historic suspension bridge. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the lobby lounge.

Each chic guest rooms are housed in a separate Japanese-style building, providing total privacy and tranquility. Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding, rooms come with facilities like flat-screen TV and fridge. Guests can try on yukata robes and sip green tea in the room.

Takanosukan features a spacious lounge with a gift shop. The public hot spring baths are open 24 hours. Bicycles can be rented to explore the local area. Ski equipment hire and a storage space are available.

JR Echigo Shimonoseki Station is a 10-minute drive away, and free pick-up shuttles are available. JR Sakamachi Station is a 20-minute drive away. Shuttles from Sakamachi Station are also available with an additional fee and an advance reservation. Wakabuna Highland Ski Rsort is within a 10-minute drive.
