Set on 7 acres on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, this inn, with turrets and hardwood floors, overlooks the Southwest Harbor. It's 13.5 miles from Bar Harbor and 47.5 miles from Bangor.
The bright rooms feature colonial-inspired furniture and views of the grounds, garden and/or water. A sole warm cottage with exposed wood includes 5 bedrooms, a full kitchen, a fireplace and a deck.
Complimentary breakfast is offered in the form of juices, teas, fruit, baked goods and granola. The grounds consist of a sprawling lawn, gardens and a private beach. There's also a boat dock, for guests preferring to arrive by water.
