Esbjerg is located on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula and it belongs to the Danish county of Ribe. It has excellent beaches and its fishing port is the largest in Denmark, with 10 kilometres of harbour walls. It is a very interesting destination because of its history and culture and is also a good place for outdoor activities like cycling, horse riding, hiking and more gentle walks. There are a number of golf courses, and it is possible to do both fishing and sailing here. You can also take a boat trip to Fano island in the North Sea. The Esbjerg Theatre Centre, with its elegant design, attracts tourists from all over the world to see its performances. There are many museums and castles, like Rosenholm, Clausholm and Voergard Castles with their spectacular architecture, artworks and beautiful gardens. An interesting possibility is an excursion to Legoland, with its famous constructions of Lego bricks. The hotels here are comfortable, and the range is excellent.
