The city of Jaen is the capital of the province of Jaen, and is located in the south of Spain and in the northeast of the Autonomous Region of Andalusia. Jaen has a number of buildings of great architectural and historic value, and we recommend visiting: the Old Hospital of San Juan de Dios, which has a Gothic facade; the Arch of San Lorenzo (a National Monument); the Official Conservatory of Music (17th century); the Provincial Palace (19th century) and the Consuelo Arch. One of Jaen's most visited sites is the sixteenth century Palace of Don Fernando de Torres y Portugal, which currently houses the Museum of Popular Customs and Art and the Naive Art Museum. Furthermore, there are Arab Baths under the palace, and these are a well-preserved example of 11th century Hispano-Muslim baths. Jaen is the Spanish province with the greatest number of protected areas: national parks, reserves and many lovely panoramas to enjoy. Discover the magic of Jaen!
