Sperlonga is a city in the Italian province of Latina, between the cities of Rome and Naples. It is a lovely coastal city full of white houses and pretty beaches. One of the city's main attractions is the Archeological Museum, which displays the artifacts uncovered at the Villa of Emperor Tiberius. Tiberius was able to appreciate the beauty of the Italian coast. It was this awareness that led him to build his summer residence there, a residence that includes a cave at sea level that is now called the Gruta o antro di Tiberio. There is a series of medieval towers that are worth seeing there: the Central Tower, currently incorporated into the town's houses, the Nibbio Tower, the Truglia Tower, which is at the entrance of the fishing port, and the Capovento Tower. However, the city's most popular attractions are undoubtedly its great beaches. With their fine sands and clear blue sea, they are a real treat. There is also no shortage of open air restaurants, bars and pretty hotels, making up a delightful Italian atmosphere. Visit Sperlonga and discover all the charms of the Italian coast.
