Segovia is a town in the south of the Spanish region of Castile and Leon. It is situated on the confluence of the Eresma and Clamores Rivers, near the Guadarrama Mountains. It is known for its Roman aqueduct, which is UNESCO World Heritage. This ancient construction is the best preserved Roman monument on the Iberian Peninsula and it is one of the most important for the Spanish people. It carries water from La Acebeda in the mountains, 17 km from the town, taking the water from the natural reservoir of Fuenfr
