Searching for bed and breakfast accommodation in Lyndoch? Take a closer look at Barossa Heritage Cottages. Each of the three separate heritage stone cottages was built in the 1800's. They are scattered around the township of Lyndoch - the first European settlement in the Barossa Valley. Bandicoot Nest was built in 1875. It has two king bedrooms, a lounge with air conditioning plus log fire, wide screen TV with surround sound. The new modern kitchen is adjacent the dining room. Provisions are left to cook your own breakfasts daily. The spacious bathroom has a two person spa bath plus separate shower. There is a guest laundry. Outside there are cottage gardens and a BBQ area under a 100 year old grape vine. Currawong Roost is a traditional stone settlers cottage built in 1857. It has only one king bedroom. The lounge has an open log fire plus big screen TV. The new kitchen features all modern appliances. A range of regional produce is left for you to self-prepare your own breakfasts daily. The bathroom is light and airy and has a separate shower as well as a two person spa tub. Daisy Randall is one of the oldest inhabited cottages in the Barossa - built in 1854. what was originally a shop and two cottages is now all for you! She has two king size beds, a lounge with log fire plus separate modern dining room. Provisions are left in the kitchen for you to cook up a storm each morning as you do breakfast - either in the dining room or outside under the verandah overlooking the courtyard. The township of Lyndoch is home to five winery cellar doors plus there are two restaurants - we recommend The Lord Lyndoch for wholesome food and good service. Try the local wineries - Burge Family Winemakers, Kies Winery, Schild estate, Ross Estate, Trevor Jones Wines, Kellermeister, Charles Cimicky, Chateau Barrosa - that list has not ven taken you 4 km from your accommodation! Charles Melton, Turkey Flat Vineyards and Bethany Wines are just a few of the attractions to be found further out in the region.
