Set on a tree-lined street, this regal boutique hotel occupies a restored, landmark 1885 Eastlake Victorian mansion with a grand staircase and stained glass.
The 8 stately rooms (stair-access only) feature antiques, luxe bedding and ornate wood beds. All have free Wi-Fi and loaner tablets; some add flat-screens and/or decorative fireplaces. In-room massages are on offer.
Complimentary perks include gourmet breakfast served in a formal dining room, as well as parking, mansion tours and nightly socials. There's a library, plus 3 opulent lounges, and afternoon tea and evening meals are offered in the tower (charge). Kids age 12 and up are welcome.
