This fantastic hotel is open all year around, it is far from the crowds and in a unique and very interesting location. The guests will experience a slice of real Cretan life and hospitality. Aposperitis Village is a low key holiday option within easy reach of Heraklion and Rethymno and is highly recommended for those who wish to experience an unforgettable alternative holiday (09/08 EP) The hotel has a purely traditional outlook with stone, wood and terra cotta everywhere, matching the styles of the area and bonding with the majestic landscape. There is a small pool and deck area for the guests who wish to relax in the sunshine or take a refreshing swim. This traditional house is located in Drossia, a village on the foothills of the majestic mount Psiloritis, a must for nature enthusiasts. Heraklion is 35km away and Rethymno is 45km away, easily accessible via the old national road nearby. In the immediate vicinity, there is a zone of traditional and historical villages well worth visiting, namely the village of Axos with it's archaeological site and also the Ideon cave, mythical birthplace of Zeus. Also nearby, the Byzantine monasteries of Halepa and Vossakos complete the varied range of sights and activities available near Drossia. |
