The Argyll is a popular small hotel with a restaurant, sociable lounge bar and the only public bar in Ullapool. We are known for our live music and year-round entertainment and offer weekly local music sessions, poker nights and a quiz as well as a great range of excellent quality live music from around the world and theme nights. The Argyll is a relaxed and friendly place with a well stocked bar, real ales and draught ciders, cocktail menu, good range of malt whiskys and wines. We have a real log fire most of the year round. We are open for guests to stay year-round at competitive rates in our small but comfortable rooms. We offer bed and breakfast, ensuite rooms and most rooms also have breathtaking views across the loch to the mountains beyond. We also have a large free car park at the back of the hotel for guests use. We are situated in the North West Highlands in the fishing village of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom and offer a great base for anyone wishing to experience the village, the spectacular Highlands that surround us or to just sit on the sofa in front of the open fire with a dram. Only a minute's walk from the centre of the village, we aim to provide a friendly and entertaining place to stop in the Highlands. We offer a good quality, locally sourced menu with weekly specials, lots of vegetarian options as well as a standard bar menu. We are open for lunch in the spring and summer and for evening meals all year except for Jan- Mid Feb. Ullapools' location offers visitors a fabulous base to tour the Highlands. We are 60 miles North West of Inverness where there are rail and air links to all of the UK. The ferry terminal at Ullapool harbour runs a daily service to the Isle of Lewis. The surrounding countryside offers walking and climbing. There is also a lot of fishing available, in fresh water lochs, some rivers and the sea. |
