Come to the Azalea Lodge, Dublin for warm hospitality and a good night's sleep. This 3 star Dublin bed and breakfast accommodation is well located north of the city centre, in the historic residential area of Drumcondra. A red brick period house constructed in 1917, the Azalea Lodge has been recently renovated but still retains many of its original features. The local couple who run the bed and breakfast consistently go the extra mile to make guests feel at home in this inviting Edwardian accommodation. Past guests give the Azalea Lodge exceptionally positive reviews for the warm welcome they received and the superb homemade breakfast, which typically features bacon, fried eggs, sausages, black and white pudding, and tomatoes. Alternatives for vegans and vegetarians can be prepared if requested in advance. Located in the Drumcondra area, the Azalea Lodge is approx. 4.6 km/2.9 miles from the Dublin city centre and 8.2 km/5.1 miles from Dublin International Airport. From the bus stop a 3 minute walk from the bed and breakfast, buses leave regularly for both the airport and downtown. Drumcondra itself is known for its fine historic buildings, such as the 17th-century Belvedere House, which now is the home of St. Patrick's College of Education, and the 1725 Drumcondra House, which is now All Hallows College. Among the other Drumcondra attractions are Griffith Park, the Croke Park sports stadium, the National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin, and long, tree-lined Griffith Avenue.
