Set outside the original city walls, this low-key Victorian guesthouse is a 2-minute walk from the York Barbican entertainment centre, and a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
The 7 quaint, individually decorated rooms all have en suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffeemaking equipment. Some add original fireplaces and leather sofas. A separate 2-bed annexe features designer furniture.
