Located in Fernhill, a suburb on a hillside surrounded by forest, overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain range. A Short distance from the town centre, courtesy transport provided by the hotel.
The hotel is the national winner for best hotel for two years in succession (2005 and 2006) judged by the New Zealand tourism industry. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, gym, spa, sauna, baby sitting service, and Wi-Fi Internet connection access in public areas. One of the best hotels in this resort town. SE0808.

Mackenzie Bar & Restaurant, named after one of the most famous Queenstown settlers. Features open fireplace in winter, and a sunny balcony for al fresco dining in the summer. Restaurant cuisine is modern Pacific Rim, and has a great reputation. The restaurant ha an alpine-style feel to it.
Medium-sized rooms, beautifully appointed and in excellent condition. Facilities include an extensive mini-bar, tea/coffee makers, Sky Movie channel, quality toiletries, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, and executive writing desk with modem line. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, with individual touches reflecting its unique origin. Some rooms have excellent lake and mountain views; others face the hotels' swimming pool area.
Small lobby, pleasant furnishings in Alpine style. Cedar wood is used extensively throughout the hotel.
