The Hunting Lodge Graf Recke, built in 1926 in the mansion style at one of the most beautiful sites of the Oberpinzgau, was originally used by the family of the Counts von der Recke for Alpine hunting. This lodge at present is run by the descendants who are always ready to meet your wishes and you will enjoy that certain atmosphere of privacy and hospitality. The old tradition of the lodge is harmoniously combined with modern comfort, so that a stay amid the majestic mountains is a rare experience indeed. Summer: Heated swimming pool (illuminated at night) - nature park - sunning lawns - table tennis - easy footpaths and romantic climbs in the National Park - alpine hunting - trout fishing - tennis - riding (3km) - car excursions (Groglockner Hoch alpenstrae) - socials and dances. Winter: 30 chairlifts and ski-lift systems reach 3 skiing areas between 4800 and 6500 ft, with snow guaranteed far beyond Easter. 25 miles cross-country slopes near the house. Ski rental. Any number of easy footpaths - toboggan runs - horse riding - horse sleighriding - curling. Located in one of the most idyllic parts of the Oberpinzgau this hunting lodge has been turned into a pleasant hotel with the perfect blend of tradition and comfort, with rooms overlooking the countryside and spectacular views of the mountains.
