Matangi Private Island Resort is located among the Fijian Islands, close to neighboring Taveuni Island. Fijis international carrier, Air Pacific, offers regular flights between Fiji and Los Angeles as well as Honolulu, Vancouver, Narita, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. Pacific Blue also offers regular flights between Fiji and all major cities in Australia and New Zealand. Fijis international airport is situated in the town of Nadi. Access to the outer islands like Matangi, require additional but short transfers by air and sea. Matangi Islands neighbour, Taveuni Island, is serviced by two Fiji airlines, Pacific Sun and Air Fiji, with regularly scheduled flights from Nadi and Suva; the two major international airports in Fiji. Both Fiji airlines operate daily services with a flight time of approximately 90-minutes from Nadi or 60-minutes from Suva. Domestic flights are a grand opportunity to view the majestic islands of Fiji, and the extensive coral reef systems that surround them. You may want to have your camera handy for a few aerial photos. A mini-bus will meet you at Taveuni Islands Matei Airport, and will take you on a scenic 20-minute drive to the boat landing, where our transfer boat will meet you. The Matangi Private Island Resort speacializes in occasions such as weddings, honeymoons, and anniversaries. On site are a full-service health spa, swimming pool, private beaches, dining hall, entertainment room, and cocktail bar. Guests have access to phone, fax, and Internet for an additional fee. A host of water and island activities can also be arranged through the resort. Guest bures are designed with comfort, relaxation, and privacy in mind.
