There is also one of Japan's three most celebrated landscape gardens, called Kairaku-en which is both famous and popular for cherry blossoms in late February. It takes about one hour from Ueno Station in Tokyo by express train to Mito Station, and then a taxi from Mito Station to the hotel. Otherwise, there is complimentary shuttle bus transfer from/to JR Mito station South Exit and the hotel and it is 15 minutes ride. The hotel offers a number of restaurants and bars from a range of Japanese, Chinese and Italian cuisines. Cafe plaza in the courtyard provides a tranquil atmosphere for guests while enjoying afternoon tea. The restaurant on the top floor has a tappan-yaki counter. There, chef cooks steak menu in front of guests. The hotel appears to be like a castle in the forest. It is a modern white building with 5 storeys.
