Soneva Kiri by Six Senses is located on Koh Kood, a pristine and untouched island on the east coast of Thailand. The luxury, self-contained resort is situated on a 41-hectare or 102-acre site in the first phase of development. The resort comprises 42 pool villas, including Beach and Hilltop Reserves, Beach and Hilltop Retreats, Eco Suite, plus 20 Private Residences along the beach front and on the hillside overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. Each pool villa occupies a footprint of between 400 square metres and 770 square metres, with living areas and air-conditioned bedrooms surrounded by water features. Several villas feature private spa suites. All villas offer personal butler service. Three restaurants are planned. The fine-dining restaurant will sit on the ridge of a hill facing west so guests can watch spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand. In addition to many leisure facilities, the resort will feature a Six Senses Spa village and a celebration pavilion. Soneva Kiri by Six Senses is being developed following the principles of ecologically-sustainable design and materials selection, and with construction methods adapted to protect the environment. Electric golf carts and bicycles are the mode of transport within the resort. The resort can be reached only by boat. Flights from Bangkok International Airport are 60 minutes, custom-fitted, lightplane, and from there it is just 2 kilometres by speed boat to the arrival pier.
