Originally constructed in 1906, this former town jail-turned-quirky hotel and prison museum is 2 minutes' walk from the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall and 5 minutes' walk from Cobourg Beach.

Individually themed rooms with prison-inspired names come with en suite bathrooms, WiFi and TVs. Some offer soaking tubs and others inhabit former cells and retain original features, including bars. Family rooms add bunk beds.

There's a golf-themed Scottish restaurant and bar on the ground floor. Other amenities include a kids' play area, a full-service spa and the jail museum.
