Stafford is the county town of Staffordshire, in England. It is in the north of the West Midlands, between Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent. Stafford is known for having one of the best floral displays in the British Isles, and the town's lovely parks, peaceful walks, a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants will make discovering these flower displays even more pleasant. The city is surrounded by some beautiful countryside and this, along with the town's leafy parks and historic gardens, give the visitor a very positive impression of Stafford. There are also museums and art galleries for those with an interest in culture. Stafford's oldest building is the church of St Chad, and the town also has a theatre, a cultural centre, a cinema and other places for the visitor to enjoy some free time. If you enjoy outdoor activities, particularly recommended is Victoria Park, which is a great place for a picnic, as it is on the banks of the river. It has play areas for children, a paddling pool and a number of bird species to see. Stafford is a colourful town; come and see the flowers here!
