Tandil is a town near the Sierras de Tandil range in central Argentina. The Traditionalista Fuerte Independencia Museum focuses on local history. At Cerro Movediza is a replica of a huge boulder that was balanced on the summit until it fell in 1912. A chairlift leads up Cerro Centinela, also topped by a rock. To the south is Sierra del Tigre, a protected area of pampas home to llamas and pumas.
