Lute Suites is a combination of visionary hotel and restaurant that takes design and cuisine to heights not normally associated with Holland's bucolic hinterlands. Acclaimed Dutch chef Peter Lute has teamed up with star interior designer Marcel Wanders to create an unusual collection of luxury suites overlooking the river Amstel. Transformed from 18th-century workers cottages into bastions of high contemporary design, each suite's look is completely different and has its own character and features surprising details. The obsessive attention to enriching the interior is a reflection of Wanders' goal for the complex: to surprise, to delight, and to elicit a strong emotional response.
